Chiefs vs. Titans live score, updates, highlights from the AFC championship game

The Chiefs on Sunday will aim to avenge last year’s AFC championship game loss as they host the Titans with another Super Bowl berth on the line.

Kansas City didn’t have an easy path to Sunday’s matchup vs. Tennessee, as Andy Reid’s team was forced to dig out of a 24-0 home deficit last week against the Texans in the divisional round. The Chiefs wound up winning comfortably by a score of 51-31 behind Patrick Mahomes’ stellar afternoon (321 passing yards, five passing touchdowns).

Tennessee, meanwhile, pulled off a pair of upset victories to advance to its first AFC title game since 2003.

The Titans began the season 2-4, snuck into the playoffs at 9-7 and have since proceeded to defeat Tom Brady’s Patriots 20-13 and Lamar Jackson’s Ravens 28-12 in the wild-card and divisional rounds, respectively, thanks to strong defensive play and heavy production from running back Derrick Henry (377 rushing yards, 5.9 yards per carry, two total touchdowns).
