Corridor of Fame faculty basketball coach Eddie Sutton passes away at 84

Legendary faculty basketball coach Eddie Sutton died on Saturday on the age of 84 after being on hospice, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.

Sutton died at his house in Tulsa, Oklahoma, two months after he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Corridor of Fame. In 2011, he was inducted into the Faculty Basketball Corridor of Fame.

Sutton is understood for a prolonged and intensely profitable 11-year teaching stint at Arkansas, which preceded 4 years at Kentucky. Sutton completed his profession with 10 seasons at Oklahoma State, and his final gig was an interim job at San Francisco so he may crack 800 profession wins.

Sutton received two AP Coach of the 12 months awards and was named coach of the 12 months within the Southwest Convention, SEC, Huge Eight and Huge 12 throughout his profession. He received over 800 video games throughout his faculty teaching profession, made three Last Fours (with two completely different packages), and took 4 completely different faculties to the NCAA Event.
