Looking for a "Miracle" in Swimwear?

Without exception, shopping for a swimsuit is one of the most insufferable, unpleasant chores a woman has to endure. Ranks right up there with a root canal if you ask around. Why? Because no other piece of attire that is worn out in public reveals more of a body’s secrets and flaws. No other garment adversely effects self-esteem like a swimsuit. Realistically, women need to go much easier on themselves and forego that overly critical eye. You may be surprised to know, but the average American adult woman is about 5’6″ and weighs 163 pounds. That is a far cry from the 5’10”, 110 lb. model used in advertising campaigns.

Nearly two-thirds of women are considered overweight or even obese by measured standards. Yet, the majority of high-end, designer swim wear is geared towards the third of the women that are thin. The rest suffer through the process of searching through bad-fitting, unflattering styles in sizes over ten. One of the more innovative designers in recent years has been the Miraclesuit line. Their patented slogan, “10 pounds lighter in 10 seconds” is catchy but the question is can they deliver as promised. Actually, the answer is yes. They develop a new fabric called Miratex, which has nearly three times the Lycra content that most of the plus size suits. The beauty of Miratex is that you get the great holding and shaping power without the antiquated girdle feeling.

The best results are seen in the tummy area but the overall result is a firmer and trimmer look over the whole body. It is a perfect choice for the full-figured body or what is commonly referred to as a “plus” size. This whole ill-conceived concept of “plus” sizing is so absurd in light of the body of the average adult women. The word itself creates a negative undertone and does nothing but wound the self-esteem of a body conscious consumer. So many otherwise successful women torture themselves unnecessarily by accepting this inappropriate “plus” labeling of swim wear. A full-figured female adult body is a natural, attractive condition that has been clouded by this pencil thin image of Hollywood that can only be attained through starvation and eating disorders.

The Miraclesuit does provide the best of both worlds for swim wear. This innovative fabric does indeed live up to its promise and provides great support and shaping without sacrificing comfort and style. It is a great suit for an active lifestyle, wears well and keeps its shape over time. It truly is one of best constructed suits on the market and works will just about any body type, including full-busted. The main thing you need to look past is that this suit is meant for the late baby-boomer population. This couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Aside from the innovative fabric, Miraclesuit has done an absolutely incredible job of making it trendy, fashionable and chic. They have taken the standard one-piece suit and added design features and colors that make it one of the more stylish suits on the market. They are clever enough to use the darker colors, black and chocolate brown, to enhance the slimming look but have added splashes of color and features that distract from problem areas and embellish the others. High-cut legs thin the thighs and butt, while the V-neck shows that great cleavage, which is further emphasized with the overall slimmed body. Many styles use jewels at bust level which bring attention there and away from the tummy.

The line has now become one that suited for all ages, including the 20’s. No longer are women fated to don those matronly styles and colors of the earlier attempts by lines like Delta Burke. They served their purpose at the time, but today’s woman wants style and a designer look to accompany the flattering control. Miraclesuit offers both and at competitive pricing. The suits are priced a bit upper-end but consideration must be given to the quality of the construction, superior fabric and stylish design before writing it off in favor of a discount brand. Experience has shown that discount brands ultimately disappoint with fabric sagging, color fading, and lack of support. Miraclesuit fills a nice niche in the swim wear market for the consumer seeking firm, flattering control along with trendy style and eye-catching design.
