A person accused of torture, rape and sexual slavery as nicely destroying historic monuments in Timbuktu is occurring trial on the Worldwide Felony Court docket in The Hague.

ICC prosecutors stated there have been “substantial grounds” to convict Al Hassan Ag Abdoul Aziz Ag Mohamed Ag Mahmoud for “crimes in opposition to humanity … torture, rape, sexual slavery (and) different inhumane acts together with, inter alia, compelled marriages, persecution and battle crimes”.
