What will the penultimate College Football Playoff rankings look like this week?
The top four should remain pat — or at least contain the same four teams — heading into conference championship weekend. That means Ohio State, LSU, Clemson and Georgia remain in control of their destinies, with Utah, Oklahoma and Baylor likely vying for the fourth and final spot in the Playoff. That scenario, of course, assumes the chalk holds this week.
The Playoff-contending teams were whittled down again after Rivalry Week, with Alabama and Minnesota both eliminated completely from contention after losses to Auburn and Wisconsin, respectively. It makes for an easier job for the CFP selection committee, but that doesn’t mean they won’t have one or two big debates left to discuss.

In fact, the biggest question might not be what team takes the fourth spot, but which of LSU or Ohio State finishes with the top overall seed. LSU beat Texas A&M 50-7 on Saturday while the Buckeyes downed No. 10 Michigan 56-27. The Tigers play No. 4 Georgia in the SEC championship game while the Buckeyes play No. 10 Wisconsin in the Big Ten.
With that, here’s everything you need to know to tune in to the fourth College Football Playoff rankings show:
